With CoD4 season two coming to an end in CAL Main, the Rebels find themselves in thier 2nd championship match in less than 2 weeks. With Team Dynamic pulling an upset over #1 ranked Revolution Sports in two straight maps, 13-5 and 13-3 on their second map. Our number two ranked Rebels, had a harder time in their match against a tough Just Cause Project (#3). We went on to win their match against jCp in two maps as well, on map one 13-10 and on map two 13-10. The match starts off with a come from behind victory by Rebels on map one, leaving Dynamic with the pressure to win two straight maps in a row. I'll leave the rest up to the cast below with special guest "Burt Flaxton" from Rebels & "j5" from Team Dynamic to start things off with some battlefield reminiscing. Check out the live video broadcast thanks to E-Rev below. E-Rev Cast: CAL-M Finals - Dynamic vs Rebels Gaming
Rebels Cod4 division brings home the first place finish in Tgl-o this week! After a 8-0 undefeated regular season, we went into the playoffs as the number 1 seed. After taking down DRT, Team Precision, Over-rated, and itsOver in the first 4 rounds of the playoffs we moved on to the grand finals to face MugNMouse. In a best of three situation, we took an early lead by winning our map choice Citystreets by a score of 13-8. On MNM's map choice, crash, we found ourselves trailing by a few rounds early, but pulled ahead to take a 2 round lead at half. We would maintain this lead throughout the rest of the map, winning by a score of 13-9, taking the number 1 finish and a prize of $750. Congrats to all who played, and thanks to everyone who watched it casted on e-rev. We look forward to playing TGL-p next season, and hopefully we can finish out season 2 just like we finished out season 1!
Rebels gaming is proud to announce that, along with the launch of the new site, we have acquired a new CS:S division! The team formerly known as Vindicated is our newest addition to the Rebels family, and were all very excited to have them on board. Headed by Travis 'tripletwenty' Hezel, the team will be participating in Cevo-a and Cal-im as well as the CGS online league. Vindicated just came off a 10-3 season in Cal-im, before having some roster issues. Travis was brought in as the new leader to try and help calm things down, and everyone is very confident that he will make next season thier best yet. We look forward to having them represent Rebels gaming in the Counterstrike:source community!
